Marley and Me in Espanol

Yesterday, Trent and I played in the den so I could finish watching Marley and Me. I had read the book and wanted to watch the movie so we could get another Netflix. We had about 15 minutes left of the movie, when Trent was tired of being downstairs but beating on my brightly colored purse appeased him for the time being. So I let him pound on my purse, trying to finish the last of the movie. All of a sudden, Owen Wilson started speaking spanish in a high pitched voice. The DVD remote had been under my purse and he had managed to bang the one button that changes languages. I had no idea which one button this was so I watched about five minutes of Marley and Me in spanish before I figured out the button that changed it to French and THEN to English. The boy is five months and already knows the remote better than I do. :)

Trent and Jesse have been planning our kitchen remodel:

Duke's Bestest Friend

Trent is getting more mobile each day. He spends time daily wiggling on the floor for "tummy time." We have a blanket on the floor to make it more comfortable, but inevitably I have to rescue him from face plants on the hardwood floors a few times a day. Duke has been eagerly anticipating Trent being able to move on his own. He loves to play fetch and wants so badly for Trent to be his play buddy. He has noticed Trent's increased mobility and now brings the balls over to Trent. (If you look closely, you can see unamused Dozer sleeping on the dog bed in the back)

Staycation in Tennessee

We recently returned from a "staycation" at Mom and Dad Reiersen's house. It was great. Nanny and Poppy are up visiting from Florida so we had the chance to see them too! It was a fun five days. Mom and Dad have a beautiful house on a lake and Mom R's cooking is better than most restaurants. Plus, with all the extra hands, Jesse and I get some couple time too!

We rented a pontoon for a day:

“The person who can bring the spirit of laughter into a room is indeed blessed.”

Drool, Drool and more Drool

Trent has cut his first tooth and is working on his second. The result: Drool and a lot of it.

Happy Happy Baby

Jesse and I have been blessed with an incredibly cute, happy baby. We are loving every minute of parenthood. Trent starting sleeping through the night by about 8 weeks, Trent and I caught on to the nursing thing pretty quickly, he doesn't cry a lot... We are constantly stopped by total strangers everywhere we go so they can let us know how lucky we are and how our next child is sure to be a hellion. We've heard it so many times that it almost makes us feel like we're jinxed! However, we are enjoying the moments with Trent. I'm paid in smiles right now since I'm not currently working outside the home, but boy I love these paydays!

TJ's Baptism

Trent was baptized on July 26th. We love our church and our pastor and were excited to have Trent baptized so it was a special day for our family. The baptism video can be found here:

Our church doesn't print traditional bulletins so this is the closest thing to print that Trent will have from the day of his baptism.

The Keller Side

After church, some family and friends gathered over at Grandma and Grandpa Kellers for a barbecue. We took some family pics and enjoyed Trent's first cake. Unfortunately for Trent, he missed out as he napped through his whole party! Reiersen Family Pic

Still working on a decent family photo!
